For nearly 20 years, leaders at life sciences companies and investment firms have relied on Stephen Lesser's expert advice, judgement, and insights across a range of corporate, investment, operational, and strategic matters.

Stephen trained as a M&A/corporate finance lawyer at Troutman Pepper Locke, a top 50 corporate law firm. After leaving private practice, Stephen advised Bayer, one of the world’s leading healthcare and nutrition companies, through a period of significant strategic change and growth, including building and growing Bayer’s portfolio of venture capital investments across its pharma, consumer care, animal health, and agricultural businesses. Finally, Stephen led deal and portfolio management activities at NovaQuest Capital Management, a healthcare-focused, middle market private equity firm prior to founding Tairbhe Ventures in 2023.

Stephen currently serves on the board of directors of Vetigenics, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company advancing targeted antibody therapies for companion animals. In addition, Stephen has served as a speaker at the Kisaco Animal Health, Nutrition & Technology Innovation conferences in Boston and London, the Longwood Healthcare Leaders conference, and various events at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Stephen graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, prior to earning his JD at the Washington and Lee University School of Law and his MBA at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
